Comparison – Electric Coil Finishers
When it comes to Electric Coil Finishers, Akiles has a solid line up of machines that will help any company get the job done. These finishers save time, reduce costs, and require less effort by making coil inserting incredibly fast, efficient, and easy. They can be used in any work environment where coil binding and inserting is needed.
Roll @ Coil
The Roll @ Coil is the standard Coil Finisher and is the cheapest in the line up and the most basic.
o The recommended coil inserting capacity is up to a 7/8″ diameter size.
o Features a full length EPDM high friction roller which is foot pedal operated.
o Much like the two other Coil Finishers, there are many helpful built-in features, such as:
A built-in Diameter Scale that helps verify the coil diameter,
A built-in Diameter Selector that matches the correct coil diameter size to the corresponding thickness of the document,
A built-in alignment channel that shapes the document’s spine to the coil shape, making for an easier, faster insertion, and
A built-in pitch identifier that verifies that the coil pitch matches the punched document.
Finish @ Coil M
The Finish @ Coil is a step above the Roll @ Coil with a slightly larger inserting capacity and a few other helpful features.
o Has a recommended coil inserting capacity of up to 2″ in diameter size.
o Features full length EPDM high-friction roller which is foot pedal operated, with an adjustable roller mechanism for easier insertion of larger coils. This feature is exclusive to the Finish @ Coil M and Finish @ Coil E1.
o Unlike the Roll @ Coil, the Finish @ Coil M features a see-through Coil Crimper Storage Compartment which provides a convenient storage space and helps to ensure that your crimper doesn’t get lost.
o Built-in Diameter Scale, Diameter Selector, Alignment Channel and a Pitch Identifier.
Finish @ Coil E1
The Finish @ E1 has everything the above Coil Finishers have, and more. It features a built in cutter and crimper plus a synchronized roller. Avoid using tedious manual coil crimping while saving your time and your energy.
o Same coil inserting capacity has the Finish @ Coil M, with a 2″ diameter size.
o Features full length EPDM high-friction roller which is foot pedal operated, with an adjustable roller mechanism for easier insertion of larger coils. This feature is exclusive to the Finish @ Coil M and Finish @ Coil E1.
o Has a built-in Electric Coil Cutter and Crimper, which is foot pedal operated, that provides consistent and perfect crimps on all sizes up to 2″.
o It also features a synchronized Roller/Crimper Adjustment which makes it easy to set the correct roller position and crimper angle for your coil size and has a built-in sensor that automatically switches operation mode between inserting and crimping.
o Built-in Diameter Scale, Diameter Selector, Alignment Channel and a Pitch Identifier
With all three of these machines, you can save time, reduce costs, and require less effort in Coil Finishing because of their ability to get work done easily, effectively, and amazingly fast. If your business has a high volume of coil binding spines for document finishing, I would suggest the Finish @ Coil M or the Finish @ Coil E1. However, for small amounts of coil binding and finishing, check out the Roll @ Coil.
